San Jose March 25:  Miss Heredia, Johanna Solano was crowned as Miss Costa Rica 2011 in a beauty pageant held on March 25 at the Children’s Museum Auditorium in San Jose. New Beauty queen 20 year old was crowned by Miss Costa Rica Universe 2010, Marva Wright.

Johanna Solano who a student of psychology 5'9" tall will represent Costa Rica in Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12.

The 1st run-up was 20-year Mariana Loranca, and the 2nd run-up was 19-year old Natalia Gomez.

Road to Miss World 2011. Paola Chaverri crowned Miss World Casta Rica 2011

New Beauty Queen from Heredia, 19 year old Paola Chaverri was crowned Miss World Costa Rica 2011 in a beauty pageant held on February 20 was held at the Taller del Artista in Tres Rios. She was crowned by Dayana Aguilera Sequeira , Miss World Costa Rica 2010.

Paola Chaverri 1.80 m will represent Costa Rica at Miss World 2011 contest.

Maria Fernanda Arias (19, 1.74m, Alajuela) was crowned Miss International Costa Rica 2011. She will enter the Miss International 2011 competition.

Mariela Aparicio (24, 1.75m, Perez Zeledon) was crowned Miss Earth Costa Rica 2011. She will represent the country at Miss Earth 2011 beauty contest.

Talia Umaña (18, 1.74m, Heredia) was crowned Miss Intercontinental Costa Rica 2011.  She will compete at Miss Intercontinental 2011 later this year.

Andrea Castro (18, 1.75m, Naranjo) and Elena Correa (20, 1.75m, Heredia) were named as the 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively.

There are 11 beautiful girls finalists vying for the pageant.

Amalia Matamoros of Costa Rica wins Reina del Agua (Queen of Water). International Queen of Coffee 2011

Amalia Matamoros of Costa Rica was chosen as Reina del Agua or “Queen of Water” of Reinado Internacional del Cafe 2011 beauty pageant during a visit that the contestant made to the Río Blanco natural reserve, of Aguas de Manizales.

3rd place went to Miss Chile, Romina Godoy, while 2nd place went to Miss Spain, Ana Isabel Miranda.

The 55th edition Feria de Manizales beauty pageant or Reinado Internacional del Café (International Queen of Coffee) beauty pageant, Reinado Internacional del Café 2011, will be held in Manizales, Colombia, in January 9, 2011.
