Selena Gomez appeared to have taken tips from divas including Mariah Carey and Celine Dion as she took to the stage last night for her Florida concert.

The 19-year-old singer donned a Vegas showgirl-style sequinned dress for the We Own the Night show, but didn't quite manage to pull it off, and appeared old before her time in the outfit.

The plunging gown featured a sequinned corseted top and tasseled train, and is really aimed at women a few years older than Selena.

But Selena's fans certainly looked happy enough as the singer strutted her stuff on the stage at the Mizner Park Ampitheater and belted out some of her most famous songs.

The crowd at the concert would have been even more thrilled, had they known that Selena's boyfriend Justin Bieber was hiding out backstage.

The superstar made a surprise appearance during his girlfriend's debut concert last week, but preferred to keep a low profile tonight as he supported her on tour.

Justin watched from backstage with his friend, singer Sean Kingston, before darting out the back door before he could be spotted by the exuberant audience.

When he surprised Selena onstage last week he gave her a big hug to cheers from the audience, before singing an acoustic version of Justin Timberlake's hit song Cry Me A River and also performed his own hit, Favourite Girl.

Following the show, proud Justin later tweeted to his fans: 'Had a #greatnight and surprised the people. felt good to be on stage. nothing is changing that. #REAL. @selenagomez u did great tonight. proud of u.'

Miranda, 28, had returned to her home-town to help announce the addition of 60 new Australian and International brands, including the likes of Victoria Beckham and the Kardashian Kollection to its department stores, and the model certainly brought the glamour to the event.

A host of celebrities have joined a Twitter campaign to raise money for the Berry children after their parents were killed in a horrific car crash earlier this month.

Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Ellen Degeneres and Lady Gaga are among thousands to join the 'show your hearts' campaign.

They are urging people to join the campaign and pledge money to help.

The Berry family were heading back to Houston, Texas, from vacation on July 3 when another car swerved into their lane and hit them head on.

Parents Joshua and Robin Berry were both killed. Their two sons, Peter, nine and eight-year-old Aaron were left paralysed while their daughter Willa, six, suffered broken bones.

'We can use our influence to do good. We are just doing our part and I hope those kids get something positive out of it.'

Giorgio Armani looked fighting fit on the beach as he soaked up the sunshine with a friend on holiday on the gorgeous Spanish island Formentera yesterday.

No mean feat, given the iconic designer turned 77 this month.

Entirely at ease, he and his good-looking companion chatted quietly together in the beautifully clear water.

Giorgio has been enjoying his Spanish break with friends, during which he has sparked attention in his beach wear and body.
