On behalf of Cheese-on-Bread, I would like to extend condolences to the family of visual artist and costume designer Winston Jordan, who died on Saturday after a battle with diabetes. He was 58.
Jordan, who was also a noted cartoonist, songwriter and calypso aficionado was described by the Nation Newspaper as a person who "represented through his illustrations and costumes the unique Bajan traditions and foibles of his time".
He was also the creator of the popular comic strips Bajan Bellylaff and Jones.
May he rest in peace.
Also, I came across this article on Winston Jordan in the Nation Newspaper's archives which makes interesting reading.
